Dr. Muhammad Umair Mushtaq (Abu Mikael)

Dr. Muhammad Umair Mushtaq (Abu Mikael) is an Oncologist specializing in Blood Cancers, Bone Marrow Transplantation, Cellular Therapies, and Global Health. With a career spanning diverse healthcare settings, Umair brings a wealth of expertise to our board of directors. Currently serving at the University of Kansas Medical Center, his unwavering commitment to advancing cancer care and improving patient outcomes is evident in his research and clinical practice. Umair is dedicated to addressing healthcare disparities and ensuring access to quality care for underserved populations. his leadership, compassion, and extensive knowledge make him an invaluable asset to MRF as we strive to make a meaningful impact in the lives of the underprivileged and those in need.

Dr. Sibgha Gull Chaudhary

Dr. Sibgha Gull Chaudhary is an accomplished Internal Medicine physician with diverse clinical and leadership experience. She is a Hospitalist and serves on the Medical Staff Executive Committee at Saint Luke’s Health System in Kansas City. A passionate advocate for children's well-being, she strives to create a better future for them. With a proven track record of excellence in healthcare and a commitment to making a positive impact, Sibgha brings invaluable expertise and a compassionate approach to her role as president and member of MRF’s board of directors.

Dr. Javed Akram

Dr. Javed Akram is a renowned general physician with more than 40 years of teaching and research experience in four countries. He specializes in infectious diseases, blood pressure, heart diseases, diabetes, and hypertension management. He has served in several clinical, academic, and administrative positions and has six books, over 400 research papers, and the Prime Minister’s Gold Medal for research in the field of Parkinson’s disease (1999), the Best Research Award (2005-06) by the National Academy of Medical Sciences and Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (2011) to his credit.

Dr. Shehla Javed

Dr. Shehla Javed is a successful women entrepreneur in Pakistan. She became a pioneer in the field of healthcare when she and her husband launched Pakistan’s first hospital for acute medical care. She is trained in Hospital Management and has a distinct and very respectable place in the pharmaceutical sector. She has equipped herself with both technical and management skills and has attained medical and business administration degrees. She has an ambition to improve the quality of human life by producing quality pharmaceuticals and healthcare products at economical prices.

Saira Farrukh

Saira Farrukh is a business manager for a healthcare setup in Overland Park, Kansas. She has previously worked as a research consultant and marketing analyst for the textile industry focusing on the Southeast Asia region. Saira is committed to the rights of children and women, driving positive change through innovative solutions and advocacy. With diverse expertise, vision, and strong commitment, Saira is a key member of the MRF board of directors.

Dr. Phillis Ling

Dr. Phillis Ling has both a medical and law degree. She completed a residency at Yale and a fellowship in gastroenterology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She currently works at the Veterans Administration Hospital and is an advocate for women and children's issues.

Dr. Taha Saif

Dr. Taha Saif is a board-certified pediatrician who is currently practicing pediatric medicine in the Dallas metro area, Texas. He completed his training at Texas Tech University. He advocates for child health and related issues. Taha is a valuable member of the MRF board of directors.

Saleem Ranjha

Muhammad Saleem Ahmad Ranjha is a dream chaser and philanthropist upscaling Agriculture, Education, Entrepreneurship, Environment, Governance, Health, Housing, and Trade with information and communications technology for development. He earned a master’s in public administration from Punjab University. He is skilled in Governance, Business and social networking, Strategy, Business Planning, Change Management, and Policy Analysis. He has over 40 years of governmental and regulatory affairs and over 20 years of non-profit management experience. He has been awarded Pride of Pakistan (2021) and several other accolades.

Dr. Junaid Akhtar

Dr. Junaid Akhtar is a Pediatric Surgeon at Asia's largest Children's Hospital in Lahore, Pakistan. He tirelessly champions child health and advocates for a brighter future. He joined the MRF board of directors as we unite to make a lasting impact on children's lives worldwide.

Dr. Akasha Akhtar

Dr. Akasha Akhtar has a medical degree and is a passionate advocate for child health and well-being. She is committed to serving as an asset on the MRF board of directors, dedicated to improving the lives of children and addressing critical issues in healthcare.

Namrah Tariq

Namrah Tariq specializes in multiple fields, including software engineering, computer engineering, network routing and network security. Currently, she works as a Networking Specialist in Google Cloud from Canada Offices. She has excellent leadership and social media communication qualities. She is an active volunteer for some organizations focusing on STEM for women and fundraising for the needy children in Pakistan. Namrah adds value to MRF with her technical and social communication skills as the Public Relations Officer.
